Nepal’s Defense Minister Wei Feng is coming to Dhaka, consistent with Nepal’s Kathmandu Post . Feng is now in Nepal on a one-day whirlwind tour. After the visit, he will visit Bangladesh and Pakistan, the Kathmandu Post reported.

In addition to a gathering with Nepal’s Prime Minister and Defense Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday (November 29th), he had a courtesy meeting with the country’s President Vidya Devi, the Kathmandu Post reported in a web report.

Earlier, Nepal’s state press agency Rashtriya Samachar Samiti reported that Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa had welcomed Wei at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport.

“The purpose of my visit is to reinforce mutual military cooperation between China and Nepal and to strengthen the prevailing ties between the 2 countries,” Wei Fengi told reporters at the airport.

He added, “The relationship between China and Nepal is extremely strong. At an equivalent time, i’m here to require this relationship to new heights. ‘

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Post quoted an unnamed source as saying that the Chinese defense minister would visit Bangladesh and Pakistan after his visit to Nepal.

It is the primary time since Chinese President Xi Jinping’s two-day visit to Nepal in October last year that a high-ranking Chinese official has visited Kathmandu in an emergency.
